About The lemon series continued... A lemon dropped in a vase of water. For the full story, see recent uploads. (Re George's comment, this is still at ISO 64. I've been experimenting with different ISO settings today but the light has not been great and so the resulting colours were poor. But I'll keep at it...)

Neat series John, great colours and an excellent abstract effect attracts the eye and then the sharpness in the details keeps it lingering looking at the details.

Sounds like you are using natural light - another variable you could add would be artificial lighting from different angles - as if you don't have enough options already!

Still not satisfied with your experiments, John? That's odd, because I am. We have an ad on TV here for some drink with lemons playing the leading role and it's not half as good as your recent lemon photos. Just keep experimenting.
Thank you for your very kind comment on my "Memories from Paris 32."
Best regards,
Rafi

This is a great series, John. I really like this one. Sort of like a Tornado in a glass, with a lemon twist. A new drink, maybe? Cheers, Ann.

Now THAT has to be something you couldn't have expected before you took the photo. That perfectly sharp overflow and all those little droplets are just great!! Great series. This is the crowning achievement so far.

Hi Pat! You have a point about capturing the whole glass in the image. I have some where I did, and some where I didn't. But I felt that including the bottom of the glass detracted from the main action, and in fact I had prepared another image to upload that took an even smaller part of the original photo. But I'm still working on these - just run off another 170 today...

Love your lemon serie. This one is particularly nice because of it's abstract quality. Also love the water drops floating above. Well captured... :) Andree

Nice! Very cool. The only thing I would say is to get the entire glass in the frame... IMHO.. But the action is most Awsome!!!!

This one is super--better and better. Yeah, the success of ISO option depend a lot on the characteristics of the camera. You are obviously doing something right. ;-)
