Hi Sumedha,

I find this image specially interesting for its composition and diversity of shapes and textures. It looks somewhat surreal due to the curves/shape of the lady's hair contrasting with the more straight lines of her hands, all in a very unique position. Really interesting.

I suggest you begin to use slide film instead of negative. The reason is the slides will show the image as YOU visualized it, with YOUR metering. Negatives usually brings us with how the lab machine's program interpret the negative for an "average" "best" image which, most of the times, is far from what we imagined.

I see you need to improve a bit on your scanning techniques, as the images are less powerful than they could be, they're flat, lacking depth, thanks to low contrast and low saturation commonly associated with a default scan.

I took the liberty to pick one and give it a few touches to improve its strenght. Hope you understand what I tried to say - there are certainly clearer ways to say it by my mind is a bit blocked by now...

Regards,

José Azevedo

Creative picture. no two words. But try in future to concern about lighting. if u can balance shutter speed less than this, personally i think its better.

yep..I too think, that could have save from the over exposed area. That's a reason to have a better picture in B/W mode. I agree! Thax.

A shutter speed less than 1/250 would have lessen the burnt/overexposed left hand and face though the black and white version gives more depth to thepicture. A very good angle to show the 'feeling'. I felt caption could be 'Why me ? ' too !!!

hei..thats a great effort. Always the balancing in between the black & white make much feelings. Its a good though for this kind of a photo. Thax.
