About The thinnest sliver of clear sky on the distant horizon and a setting sun that i just knew had to pass between. As far as I know I was the only person prepared for the spectacular light that totally exceeded my expectations. My camera poured out smoke from the friction of film passing over the spindles in the rear of my camera. The show was gone in less than a minute. An icon alert for most of you I'm sure, for me a sight of almost biblical significance. Please visit my website at www.transientlight.co.uk

Wow! I think the car adds to this shot. Because it's so small it gives an idea of the immensity of the scene. A classic shot of a classic scene.

Another breathtaking vieuw. One must feel very small when traveling through this valley. The reds on the rock are really glowing. I personally would have left more space at both sides and so allowing the diagonal lines to reach the valleybottom.Perhaps this was the widest angle you could reach when you composed this photo? ( sorry for my bad English)
