Dave, Things are o.k. here in Lafayette. We have a son who has a home in New Orleans and a sister in Mandeville (right across the lake.) My sister's house did not get water or damage but we don't know about our son's house, he can't get back yet to check on it but it almost certainly has water damage. Thank God they were here and they're safe. New Orleans is just awful and we all have a very helpless feeling, wishing we could do more. Krystal is doing good, just waiting for her next treatment but she's in good spirits. Thanks so much for thinking of us. Darlene

Everyone is well but we do have a son lives in New Orleans and doesn't know about his house, he heard that there is 6 feet of water in the house but won't know until they can get back in. I have a sister in Mandeville and they are checking on their home today. It is an awful situation and leaves everyone with a helpless feeling, all we can do is pray and try and help those who are without everything. I hope you hear good news from your friends and family. Darlene

Darlene!
You have a outstanding rare portfolio! You really capture the most beautiful moments of the birds.
I wonder what it is like to have the dream lens of almost every photographer. I wonder what it is like to have one! May I ask... does the others compliment your lens when then walk by and see you?
Darlene! I hope you continue taking pictures of the creatures of which I truly do love.
Thanks for sharing! Very talented!
p.s. thanks for the compliment on "lacerating star fish" I'm glad you could grab a laugh out of it!
