Hey Eric - thought I'd pop you this name to look up regarding lighting - Nora Balazs. She's using lighting against sheets of paper and other ordinary objects pretty effectively - easier to look at her portfolio rather than writing a book on what I meant...

Good balance Eric, but try playing with the lighting a little bit? Also - with this type of regular geometry and sameness in color you might do better with a black and white conversion where you can adjust across all tonalities.

I?ll try playing with the aperture tonight. This is my first real try at shooting macros. I was messing with light balance and megapixels. Thank you for your guidance.
