Lots of competition there, Pat! Excellent nature shot under difficult conditions.

Sam, no it doesn't bother me one bit to have someone help me with my photos. That's how I learn. I can't wait to see your new photos... Pat

I did the Same thing to it Pat, I didn't know if it was ok to futz with your shot...some people have gotten upset when someone messes with their shot.
I really like the shot...I have never been to yellowstone. It is on my places to see list..lol...I finally made to yosemite...With out my 20d though. I am gonna get back the for some shots.
I just got back from Las Wages, where my Brother (Rob) and my Mom took some great shot...I am going to up-load a few tonight.
Best Regards

Glad my example adjustment inspired you to experiment with your image.

Jim,
Thanks that makes a big difference. I was afraid to adjust it, figuring time of day and adding to the mood but I like what you did much better. I will redo it and add it here. Pat

Hi Sam,
No it's not your monitor. It was me being afraid to adjust the light. Look what Jim Goldstein did to adjust it and now it looks so much better. It was almost dark and there was a mountain to the right that was casting a huge shadow, so I thought it might add to the mood but when Jim lightened it, it looks better. Pat

great scene, but this image looks as though it could benefit from some color correction and sharpening. If you're not familiar with color correcting digital photos then take a look at an article I put together on my web site detailing how. It might help in the future.

I like the composition of this shot Pat, it seem a bit dark....could be my monitor.
Best Regards
