Wow! Croatia! you do enjoy your freedom, Markus.
I've been to Croatia twice, (1985 and 1988) so know what lovely photos to expect in the near future. This one, however, is also a pleasure to look at.
Thank you for your very kind comment on my "Aphrodite." You're right about her resembling Lot's wife, but we already have one Lot's wife in form of a salt pillar by the Dead Sea (Salt Sea, as we call it) and inspite of Lot's philanderings, we can't allow him to have two wives, can we?

Thanks for going to that effort to correct my appalling German, Markus! I have put my original, and your correction, on to a word document to study them properly.
I try to put some of my comments in the person's language (when I can), as I often feel uncomfortable at writing in the "universal" English!

I would translate "A wonderful, chocolate box image, Markus.Very effective, preferentail focus on the centre. Lends a dream-like quality to the periphery, and to the overall image.
Holidays are great source of renewed enthusiasm for a photographer (a bit like a new camera!)
" into:
"Ein wunderbares Schokoladenschachtelbild, Markus. Sehr effektiver, selektiver Fokus auf das Zentrum. Verleiht dem Rand eine traumähnliche Qualität sowie dem gesamten Bild.
