You have got to be one of the most talented panoramic and landscape photographers I've seen. I love the distorted look of the clouds, though there may not be any distortion. Excellent.

Neil:
No tripod.
I used a program called autostich - it's free on the web, and does a fantastic job. You can see the difference between this one and another I did using Arcsoft Panorama maker, also posted.
As to the number of photos... A lot? I think it was at least 12...

Hi Michael, nice stitching job here. How many photos was this/were there? And how long did it take to set the tripod up correctly?
I'm going to be different and say that i like the off black bordering :) Just shows you can't please everyone!
Greetings neil

I think panos with dark stripes up and down look like 9:13 widescreen movies on traditional tv screens. My ideal is even margins on all four sides or thin frames. Best: Gy.

Lovely panoramic, Michael...and yes, I've got to agree with György. Black should make the colors pop a bit more.

Thanks for the quick response. Perhaps I should have used black.

Fine, seamless pano, Mike. I am bothered, however, by the grey upper and lower margins. They blunt the colors, IMO. Best: Gyorgy
