About Anybody that's old enough knows what this is. Probably the darkest of dark places in modern history. Dealey Plaza with a little bit of the Grassy Knoll out front, Texas School Book Depository (brown building to the left) and Elm street (front center to right) At 12:30 pm on Friday, November 22, 1963 as President Kennedy's motorcade slowly drove down Elm he was shot at least 3 times from, what most people that were there believe, at least 2 locations. First hit was to the front of the throat (right above his tie knot), 2nd was to the back, 3rd hit Texas Governor John Connally who was sitting in front of JFK, and the 4th, instantly fatal shot, blew part of Kennedy's head off. This is all completely obvious if one watches the "Zapruder Film" of the entire assassination. Even on poor quality 8 mm it's very disturbing. The government came out with what was called "The Warren Report" but not everybody bought into some of it's hard to believe claims. The Zapruder film was shown on television for the first time in 1967. It shocked the country and even more people stopped believing the Warren Report. In the end the "House Select Commission on Assassination" ruled that "It most likely was a conspiracy" (with about 75% of the American public agreeing) but all too little, too late...

America's never quite been the same - everything changed on a November day in 1963.

Yes, a sobering moment that certainly is part of the answer to how we arrived where we are today.
Sad.
