Hey Marty- have I told you how much I LOVE this shot? I guess I wasn't paying attention when you posted it. It is exceptional- I agree with Pat that it would be fantastic blown up to large print size. We are going to do the Tarantula Train soon- I might try my hand at this kind of shot. Doubt I could beat this one for technically perfect, though! Deserves an award for sure. Where are all those awards anyway?????

Hi Marty, Okay, here is how I go about getting a show. Being an artist I have two shows a year at a local art gallery and in the bank that we do business in. What you do is have some business cards done up. Have 15 to 20 pieces of photography at least, framed with you card and price on them. Call your bank and ask if you can show them(some banks even have easles for this), or at your local art galleries. Then have the newspaper do a blurp about you. And sometimes they will have a reception for you (at the bank or gallery) and you get to meet and talk to the public. I had a print signing and it was wonderful and I know local photographers do the same. I mostly do photography to do paintings from, but have gotten really addicted to digital. Anyway that is a way to start and it is a kick in the butt! Have a bio sheet done up about yourself also. You can check mine out at: www.patsnellingweiner.com Hope this helps! Pat

What a beautiful shot! Now I can't decide whether I like the sepia tones or the black and white better. I love all the tones inbetween...what a great "grey scale". I hope you have a large printer or access to one and can get "BIG" pictures printed. Have you had your own show? You should you know! This in about a 24 x 36 would be fantastic. Pat

Trace,
I shot this one today at the Grape Fest... Of course you may have it, but I wish you would let me email it to you @ the full pixel count... It would be a shame for you to print out something less than the Best... ;p,;p,;p,;p,;p...
Although the best way is email me your address and I'll burn it on a CD and sent it to you via; snail mail... Check your tribute on the "Big Rusty Bucket" I have a couple of other Rusty Photos in stock... Check back soon...
Your friend,
Marty

Looks like you have travelled back in time to capture this photo of this train. The B & W tones are perfect and I think this photo would have lost a lot of the feeling had it been done in color. Love the smoke.
