Looking a bit melancholic there - tired of waiting for the camera wielding Gayle maybe Beautiful portrait, love those 'analog' colors, too scarce here on UF. /Hansi

Beautiful dog Gayle, and yes he is one of the lucky ones. Hopefully more and more of the animals stranded from hurricane Katrina will be rescued!

She looks a lovely dog. :-) What a beautiful place filled with flowers for this picture of her.
I hope they can rescue and care the lost animals there. Congrats for your efforts, my friend.

Sweet photo, Gayle - I love the wildflower setting! Doesn't it just break your heart to see those images of all the animals standed and abandoned in the flooded neighborhoods? I'm so glad someone is out there to help them!

Hi, Riviera, I'm glad you take care of your human. He seems to be proud of you... taking such a peaceful picture of you..
Gayle, I do admire your feeling about the pets from Lousiana. They must be suffering as well as people. Regards, carmem

She looks like a sweetie, but a sweetie with spirit. Again you call attention to a wonderful organization performing a much needed service. While some are trying to figure out how to make money from this tragedy, maybe the rest of us can give money to an orgization like this one.

Rivie pup is so beautiful, Gayle. Look at those eyes, so soft and gentle and the background you chose to showcase her in, is just lovely. Too bad you had to mow it :-). Nothing like a pup running through wildflowers. I was concerned about all the displaced animals as well and have heard of the rescue efforts.
