Hi, Pat. Pardon my barging in. Like you, I use Canons--10D and 20D. Like Darlene, I get my equipment almost exclusively from B&H. I think my gear is given a real work-out, but it has been very reliable--solid and responsive. (Knock wood ;-) And I agree, extended warranties are money wasted. The grass is not greener, though. Nikons have plenty of problems of their own. I have friends who have Nikon stories!!! For years, I used the marvelous Olympus OM-series SLRs. Film cameras, they were built like little tanks, but occasionally one would need repair. The moral of the story is--At some point, a camera is gonna go down, but if you stick with the high-end quality makers, you're going to get excellent--if not perfect--service from their product. Pat, I've had a few problems with my Canon cameras but they have always fixed them or replaced them. I guess I've been lucky! Wish we could get some of that "frisky" weather here in Louisiana! Can't wait to see your other images from today, good luck with the camera. Darlene

I love it, that is so cute.... Now I'm jealous, I have never been able to get that close to the Pelicans here. You would have loved it in the Park today, just a touch of snow and the animals all feeling frisky. I am still waiting for my camera to get back from "Repair Tech", it has been over 60 days now....have you ever had trouble like that? Extended warranties are not worth the paper they are written on. Not sure whether to go with Nikon now ....sigh! Pat
