Great detail. We hear these guys at the lake we go to in the summer. They are illusive, though and hard to find (for us anyway). Superb shot.

Beautiful. So sharp for a 1/60, you must have a great tripod. The 600 combined with the 1Dmkii in your hands of course, is a great combo.

*laughing* He/she sounds like my house rabbit..."I'll hide my head under this blanket, be very still, and no one can see me." Of course there's the wee matter of a large gray fanny left uncovered. Maybe he and the owl are related to the ostrich.

Another superb capture, Darlene. The lady doth rock.

Darlene,
Beautiful shot of the Barred Owl. We had some fun with some of these back in Feb. when they came down to our area because of lack of rodents further north.

I was just going through your portfolio showing my wife your work and she is amazed at the work you have done.

I like the owl, Darlene, it's a little different pose than we normally see. You've certainly got a wide variety of birdlife at Lake Martin, and you're really taking advantage of it!
Thanks for your very generous comments!
Dave.
