This was taken during the Moon Festival on 09.17.2005 in Orlando, FL. My kung fu temple, Wah Lum, did several types of performances: lion dancing, dragon dancing, kung fu, tai chi, weapons demonstration, drumming, etc.
This is a shot is of the firecrackers going off. Good thing I had ear plugs :).
The Orlando Weekly (a local free newspaper highlighting local events/news/info) featured this photo in the "Seen" section. People submit photos taken around Orlando. So it's pretty cool! This is my first photo to get published in a newspaper. You can see a scan of it here.
