The light and colour contrasts are the key to what makes this such a good image. The contrasting colour of the (I'm guessing here) bench make the lacy nature of the husk stand out well.
I love the fruit in these... I can remember eating these in my grandparents back garden at every opportunity!

another simple beauty,Alison!...love the delicate lace-like structure and that pumpkin orange against the metallic blue...it could be my eyes,but it doesn't appear to be as sharply focused as could be,unless you intended a softer look?.....still very appealing composition...and it does look like illuminated from within!...regards,gayle

Wow, that's really beautiful! Amazing that it holds together in that shape so well - it looks so delicate! The light catching the inside of the husk is really cool - like it's illuminated from within!
