Thanks so much Mary. We didn't have any damage here in Lafayette, had a little at our camp which is a couple of hours away. We have a son in New Orleans and his home was damaged, the whole first floor was destroyed. But everyone was safe, that's whats important. Darlene

We managed to get some owl shots this last weekend at a falconry centre Darlene. Seeing this shot from you has made me realise that one big element was missing. That is the natural environment element and you've got it perfectly in this image. Congratulations!!

Thanks Margaret. We are o.k. here in Lafayette where our home is, got lots of wind and rain though. But south of us in the coastal parishes got hit really hard. Tidal surge flooded homes and they are still trying to rescue people and cattle and horses! We have a camp in one of the coastal areas and we also got water there but luckily the camp is on pilings so the 2nd floor was o.k. I hope to get there today to take some pictures and I will post them as soon as I can. Thanks again for all the thoughts and well wishes. Darlene

Beautiful detail in the feathers of this Barred Owl. I really like the way these guys seem to blend right in with the branches.
