Rules are there to be broken ;-) I would not sacrifice anything, the darker toned water @the bottom is an essential element for balance against the sky. Excellent landscape !

I agree, the rule of thirds sucks. Bravo for being unconventional and defining what makes a good image rather than letting the definitions of a good image define your photographic style. You've produced an image that is so elegant and stylish. Well done...
