Hi Gina... thanks for the comment. (o: All of these shots in my portfolio were taken with my feet planted firmly on the ground. I do get to fly around in helicopters from time to time, but usually those pictures aren't great cuz of the dirty and scuffed up windows. The ones here that appear to be from height are usually looking out across or into a deep valley or something like that. Cheers, Gary

ooops... made a mistake on the lens... it was my 85-200 zoom, sorry about that. still tough to get a decent pic whilst moving with the currents etc...

ps, some of the noise is from the falling snow!!

Superb, the vignette makes the shot perfect IMO. Conveys a feeling of solitude, desolation. BTW, an 800 mm lens in a kayak - respect ;-)

Superb shot! The colors/tones are amazing - just the various shades of blue. I only wish that the reflection could be a little stronger.
