Well thank you Thomas! What kind words.
My sister and I would love to someday do photography as a side job. (NOT WEDDINGS!) :) I say that because we are currently caterers and I've seen the not so pretty side of wedding photography up close and personal. But kids and families are SO much fun and so gratifying.
There is so much to learn about this hobby/art/passion as you well know. I think it's great that you have someone to share this with. BTW, I haven't seen any images from Ceceila for a while. Tell her I miss them!
Thanks for visiting and best regards to you both! :)

Hello Susie. Thank you for your kind comment. I had been aware of your photographic expertise from my significant other Ceceilia who has you; I believe on her friends list.Since I had not looked at your portfolio I took the liberty to do so.Your ability to capture the expressions of your subjects is exceptional. If you have not be told to open a studio for family and personal portraits ,you should consider doing so.Wonderful work Susie you have a Artist eye.

Regards,

Tom

Wow, thanks for the detailed comment Douglas. I hadn't thought of all those little details. I did crop it a bit tighter than I wanted because of the glass reflections that were right under his chin. I wouldn't have thought of the head rotation...next time! Thanks again, I appreciate it. :)

To me this looks like a mix of my Japanese Calico, British Shorthair, and just a plain black cat we have ... :))

Seriously though:

1. The detail including colour is superb of course!
2. The catchlight is his eyes is perfect!
2. Normally I would say the frame is overkill, but here it suites the portrait well.

Now for the not so positive even though we all know you wanted to nail this shot, but perhaps a bit too tight for me wanting to see his full length whiskers myself as an additional treat corner-to-corner and also his hears the same with a slight head rotation clockwise before mounting in your presentation display.

Other than all that rambling I guess I like it alot or I wouldn't have spent so much time here away from my own felines who are waiting for din din!!!

The Royal Bengal Tiger ! Fantastic ! Do you know India has one of the highest population of the Royal Bengals Tigers in the World with over 10 National Parks or Tiger reserves. And one of the largest amongst them is the Sunderban Tiger reserve close to the city of Calcutta where I live.

Hope you photograph helps people to appreciate the beauty of this animal and helps people in saving the tiger from extinction.
Stunning capture.
