Thanks for the compliment Susie, the nice thing about flowers is that you are doing everything on a small scale and you can experiment freely and easily. I use the same techniques with portraiture, except now its on a bigger scale. Try some things and let me know how they workout, Cary

You certainly put a lot of thought into light and it's worked very well for you. I love the clarity in the water droplets. The colours are stunning and oh....by the way...I love the little twisty flower bud which hasn't bloomed yet. Nice photo.

Hi Tom, thanks for your kind comment It is very motivating. I love portraiture and just have not had time to get anybody to sit still long enough, these flowers are all in my driveway garden and are there whenever the inspiration strikes.

A gorgeous photo but looks almost ordinary beside the other excellent work in your portfolio. You have such a dramatic vision and a flair for constructing light paintings in the studio. You might want to give it a go on human subjects, the results could be striking.
