Bald Eagles are my alltime favourites Darlene, maybe because my mother's maiden name is Eagle. They are such regal looking creatures and here you've capture that and his authority splendidly. Oh how I envy Susie with all that number around for 4-6 weeks.
BTW have you ever seen the work of Harry Eggens? Look him up on UF. Don't know off hand the link to him but just type his name into "Find Member".
He has some unbelievable eagle shots.

Darlene,
I had the pleasure of seeing one of these birds in the wild for the first time in our area, about six weeks ago. I had never seen one near our cottage for over 40 years and thought it was a heron flying towards me from a distance. I couldn't believe it when I saw the white head and white tail feathers, when it got closer. I had to check with locals to make sure I wasn't seeing things. They told me that they are making a comeback in place around here.

Isn't it fun to find an old treasure? I love it when I forget about photos and then find them. It's like a gift you forgot to open. Nice post Darlene. We are just going into Eagle season here. We live by a river and sometimes there are 15-20 at a time. You'd go crazy here with that lens of yours!
