i know that a thing captured is not the same thing that a photo with that thing inside. and i know that i am not a genius and believe i do my best in ALL pics i post here. if they result excellent or good or bad is another thing. i cannot be blamed on my weakness. it is unfair. in fact i think that NOBODY would post anything hewre or elsewhere which he himself considered bad. it's not logical. i can say the same as regards your photos. MY opinion does not matters at all to you. i am sure that you post what you consider your best - but i can do not like them at all. so, why this crude criticism? i am not afraid of hearing criticism, just i don't like to hear crude words. they are not necessary among civilised people.
if you have had said - hey i think that this pic has its balance and lighting so and so and that didn't work on my opinion - i would agree at once.
yes i am feeling better now heheheheh! regards

Hello there! Thank You for answering. I see Your points, what You photographed is no doubt a great work of art, and it remains me of another great brazilian sculptor Aleijadinho, whose work can be seen in Ouro Preto. I, no doubt admire the altar, but the sculpture and the photograph of it are not the same piece, neither did I criticize You as a photographer, only Your picture. Please don't be offended. I know this site is full of comments such as; " I love it", " Nice composition" and so on, if this is what You are after, I wish You a good luck. I wasn't trying to be rude just honest. One more point; I think Your remark # 4 is valid, if You choose a diffrent angle, this photo would be much more interesting. As far as my work goes I am aware that I can't please everyone all the time, I appreciate any comment good or bad as long as it is well explained. Thank You and I hope You are feeling better now.

1 - i am not compelled to produce masterpieces just for your pleasure 2 - some people has liked it 3 - i don't think that a capture from bellow is a mark that there was no effort on my part. a thing placed 4 meters above my head couldn't be captured in any other way, except if i had climbed the precious and delicate and most fragile wooden altars and taken a photo at the same level. 4 - i do like this photo because it is very very rich in intersting and beautiful things to see, it doesn't matters at all if it is not a sublime artwork by itself. or maybe you disapprove all documentary pictures in the world??? 5 - you should try to improve the quality of your OWN pics BEFORE coming to criticise anybody's work, because one can save half a dozen pics in it...... and the others - sorrrry to say - are so dead as this wooden altar you have choosen to mock.
best regards

Sorry to say, but this photo is as dead as the wood this altar was made of, even the angle of the shot from down bellow shows the lack of effort on the photographer part. Please post Your comment and state Your reason why do You think this photo is special to You.
