About An October version of my original, mid August, "On The Edge", photo.

Different flowers, but still the same perspective. The last house before the Cheviot hill wilderness.

Different camera, also - a Powershot S2. Taken 3rd October.

Thank you for your considered critique, Yatharth.
The pole and clothes line, I felt, were an integral part of this garden image. I did however, clone out the telephone lines - something I did not do with the summer shot!

Cheers
Colin

Hi Colin,

Another colin special - really bright, vivid colours. I much prefer this to the original as it has so much more life. I love the way you've matched the vivid colourful flowers in the foreground against the green grass and the sky.
Great shot!!

The new one sure is vivid in comparison but I would never say the other lacked luster they are both grand. I hope you will be well enough to shot this again in winter. I for one would enjoy that but not at the expence of your health.
I'll drop you a line. Cheers dear.

Thanks for the advice, Ellen. This is the original from my portfolio in August. Different light, flowers and sky, but same perspective.

I cloned out the telephone lines on the new photo. And it's a different canon, with a digic 11 processor. Plus a sunny day!

I doubt anyone has taken this as a photo, Ellen. I usually pick unique viewpoints. The canon range have a 'vivid' mode, which intensifies the RGB. I took this, hoping it would be compared with my earlier summer photo. "On The Edge", from the same spot.

Thanks for putting this in your favs, Ellen.

What stunning bright colors I sure don't get this with the D70. Well maybe if I knew what I was doing I could. Perfect shot into my favs. Is this a popular place for photographers?

What a beautiful hillside you have captured here. The garden and all of it's colors create a wonderful foreground and the sweeping clouds above complete the photo.

A wonderful collection of colors, Colin. You have found a good ratio between colors, green and blue. Very pleasing!
