City - Highclere State - HAMPSHIRE Country - United Kingdom
About
...Is his home.
OK I know the phrase is the wrong way round to normal, but in this case it is an Englishman's castle. This one is Highclere Castle and belong's to Lord Caernarvon (who is the descendent of the Lord Caernarvon who died in mysterious circumstances after opening the Tomb of Tutankhamun. This image is taken from the nearby Beacon Hill (itself an ancient hill fort on top of which the Tomb of infamous Lord Caernarvon lies).
Nice post and background infos. Image quality is obviously just on the limit of the lens. Good composition in any case. Endre

This is a lovely shot Neil - the colours of autumn are beautiful and the placement of the castle is perfect. A little more contrast and saturation wouldn't go amiss though as it does seem a trifle muted and 'flat'.
Excellent composition and a shot that shows great promise.
