I prefer Audrey's version with the shadows lightened up.

(the birds are in a danger moment that could be opened to the man. this your photo is therefore beautiful, with the silhouette in backlighting on the deep sky completely turned white. it is a great job. also the solution of Audrey is beautiful, but as atmosphere I prefer yours...)

Wow Audrey. This is nice. Quite a different rendering though, but I like it. It bears somhow your signature as I see many of your contributions in which the shadows have been opened. I bet you are waiting for the wonder digital camera that will yield a very large dynamic range. I am tempted by the Fuji S3 for that matter, especially now that its price has been reduced.

Hi Christian, simplicity in compositions always catch the eye, don't they? I like the placement of the birds in the frame and as you say, the top and lower birds add interest as well as depth. Dont' be mad...I fiddled! My fidling is by no means (wasn't meant to) better then your orginal, just resulted in a different look. Had started off trying to see if a little more detail might be had in the birds - do you think this grey version has lost the 'silhouette' you intended? Guess so eh? I had fun though:)

Hi Christian! I do like your interpretation; simple and efficient! The pattern is very beautiful, and the exceptional crop is well balanced. Perfect border ...

Belle composition Christian. Bravo Amicalement Fabrice

Excellent study, Christian. A few geese more and you get an Escher pattern;) I also like the idea to have two of them only partially at the edge. This provides the feeling of an endless swarm.
Regards, Markus
