Okay, here's the rest of the storey... ... while visiting my parents half way across the country, I met their new dog for the first time. Friendly little cross between a cocker spaniel and a poodle I'm told. Well when I pulled the camera out, the dog's head turned from side to side, and he didn't know what to make of it, but couldn't keeps his eyes off the lens. When I pointed it in his direction, the expression of what I take as worry mixed with curiosity and confusion came across it's face, and I snapped a photo. The dog bolted out of the room, then after I put the camera away, came back with a silly looking grin, and snuggled up to me. :) Needless to say, I didn't pull it out again for a couple days. :)

What a mournful expression on his face. Those eyes look heartbroken. Fantastic detail on the fur, especially around the eyes.
A very evocative picture -- it says something that makes you want to know the rest of the story.
