Ahhh yes, I see it. Well spotted Graham and great suggestions for remedy.

Thank you for taking the time to really look. I find feedback such as yours, most invaluable.

Hard to tell on a computer screen, but I would have blended the upper right corner to the same level as the left hand corner, just to add even more balance. I would then have toned down the green leaf in the bottom left to keep the viewer's attention on the flower's center. All in all, a striking image!

Thanks Kathy! I know most of the more popular flowers around :), it's these small ones that have me stumped...

I'm glad I posted and glad it struck a chord with you and Susie.

Cheers!

Beautiful Rina. It does indeed look like velvet and I too think it is a pansy. What a sweet flower! They remind me of my dad (as Kathy said) and my grandmother who loved them as well. Very nice.

Well Rina...this is a pansy...and I love pansies, and they are my Dad's favorite flower! We call them "pansy faces" because of the centers. Most of them look like velvet, and this shot portrays that well. I like it much better than the blue one. Nice!

Nice image. I like the darkness of the flower and background and your positioning of the flower within the frame. Nice DoF. -- Naomi
