600 with 1.4 makes 840mm.
suppose camera is full frame,so no 1.6 factor?

These close-ups of the Pelicans and that beautiful Heron are really some of my favourite bird photos on this site. Fantastic detail. As I said to Marcus the other day, A lot of the photos on this site are better for identifying birds than a lot of the bird books.
