Dear Jeanette, this image is more than vivid!
Only after reading the title I have thought of the shadows as sign of music (probably not a piano ? but a jazz instrument for sure !!).
Sunset in the blue is the right colour and your way to compose is very equilibrate!

HI and thanks for your thought Patrick! I have to admit one thing - it was for the shadow i took this shot, just to not do the same as have been done millions of times, at least a try... !!! A red leaf with some surface was not enough for me ;))) But i?m happy we all have different taste, and secondly - i appreciate your thought anyway! :)

The texture looks like cloth for me.. superb macro, great details and light and superb title that messes abit with our thoughts about this shot. Im not sure about the shadow though.. if it adds or not.. but as i said.. im not sure! =)

strangely, this beautiful photo is hard on my eyes, the shadow seems to slice my eye as I try to absorb the rich red upon the textures of the leaf...I always hope to get a comment from youas I admire your work and I hope to meet you sometime when I travel back to Uppsala. Once I had a fika with Anders Tukler near the duck pond, at the corner cafe. Have you ever met him? He is kind, gentle, a very nice & clever person.

Incredible reds and texture. The shadow is quite a 'disturbance', not sure it works for me, maybe if I saw some more leafy texture in the shadow too? But the texture and light on the leaf is awesome. /H

Hi! Yes i know this is red and not blue - but my title was inspired of Dollar Brands "Sunset in blue".... sometimes i like to add a "crazy" title since calling it a red leaf are totally boring!!!!! Don?t you think?
