Wow, this is an awesome high key shot! And the eyes are fabulous. Great work here for sure! I love your copyright signature. Looks great. I'd say you did perfectly with having taken a "quick" shot. If you hadn't of told me that I wouldn't have even known. Well done!

Thank you Melanie. I wish I could tell you more about high key portraits. I think that I was really lucky on this one because I didn't mean for it to be high key. I just happen to get her looking back at me in the right light.
I will say that she was between me and the light source (outside light). Actually, I was just to the side of her a bit.
The other thing I can say is that she was really close to me. So the metered light on the camera read off of her not the background. Otherwise, I'm sure she would have turned out dark or in silhouette.
I think we should practice taking high key portraits. They are really nice, especially with children.

Hi Eleisa.
Marvelous high key shot. I am not sure how much post processing you did, but the result is fanatstic.
The only thing that I would like to comment on is the reflections in the eyes. I am not sure if they are catchlights from multiple light sources, or stray reflections.
I make this comment as someone told me once that if the eyes are the focal point of an image, try to keep them as "pure as possible"
However as i have since discovered, this is eaiser said than done, without proper lighting.
