You have a very striking website. Good to see the entire Taffeta series.
I can see you also admire Helmet Newton's work. We had the pleasure of working with one of his most beautiful models, Gunilla Bergstrom.
Are you also familiar with Thornton's work? There is another photographer - now a film maker that takes it to the extreme - David La Chapelle - each photo was a production number, so why not a commercial or a movie???
Ciao, Leora

This is a beautiful light, Pierre, and as I told Mirek, I agree quite a bit with his review.
I see from your portfolio that you are experimenting with a lot of different ideas with this beautiful model. And you have captured very sensitive expressions. I would urge you to continue along those lines.
I sense an emotion in the work that is not in the stylized portrayal in the haute couture 4 where there is no story or subtext.
Sorry, that may just be the editorial approach, but I have been exposed to some work in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar (Avedon and Guy Bourdin)in past years where there is more tension between the players.
Maybe someone is grabbing the purse from the young man or there is some competition between the women.
Just a suggestion to make it more fun the next time.
Cheers, Leora

It was fun to read your review, Mirek.
I agree that the use of BW film works extraordinarily well here, especially in rendering a black garment with such great definition, while maintaining a beautiful smooth light on the girl's face and arms.
I like that the background and props are more high key so as not to destract, but I feel that one manniquin would have been enough for a more conceptual approach and perhaps a little more of the designer's name showing.
I think we have also lost the girl's other foot, but the overall shape is exciting and in this situation you would not want to over direct her.
She is a natural beauty, but may need some styling for her hair in the next one. I like your analogy to the tango and she could even have a hair style that emulates a flamenco dancer.
Your friend, Leora

Cool. Glad to see you are still using film, it looks better, I can tell - Black and White always looks better when taken on film.

Great setting for this photograph. I like the sparse presence of props and the pose of the model is very interesting, it looks to me as if she is dancing tango all by herself. Very dramatic and pleasing to the eye of the beholder. Congratulations!!!
