We had these in the summer. I think they are called something Flames. But, I could be wrong on that. They certainly do add colour whatever they are. Mary

I don't mind a bit Peter - just wish the little picture was larger - because it appears as if those colors are richer and more detailed - Even in the little thumbnail they jump out at you. What did you do to it? Jan

Wonderful Photograph, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented. I see you dropped you ISO to 100 compared to you "Sun" flower. This improves dept of field and brightness and keeps the noise down. I've played with your shot with PSP. Don't think it really made it any better, but it was fun.. Hope you don't mind...
Thanks for sharing, and thanks for the wonderful comment on my Photo... GOD Bless... Your friend, Peter Daniel

Well, takes about an hour to get over to Harrah's, and about another hour to get down to Tucson. I don't drive the highways by myself and hubby is hunting until Sunday. E-mail me at Janorsam@cox.net and let's talk. Jan

Beautiful image Jan! I don't know what they are either but you sure captured the colors! Are these blooming now? I'll be looking in Tucson this weekend (if I can take my eyes off my 5 year old grandson!) Darlene

Thanks Don P - great suggestion. Fortunately, the flowers are still there and still beautiful - will play around with the angles and see what I can do. Really appreciate your helpful suggestions - other eyes do help, and the suggestions are priceless. Told Don L. - now telling you...Keep those great uploads coming - really enjoy them and you can learn so much from really studying a shot. Jan

Hi Janice, I like it but have a problem with the back ground, it really takes away from the single flower.. you did good getting it out of focus but still blurs into the subject to much....maybe a slightly different angle would have helped?...great color etc. Don
