About you got it, another sunset. Last summer was very smoky up in the Yukon with all the fires. The only good thing is it made for awesome sunsets at times.

Beautiful. Rightfully.

Do you ever come south, or do you only move East-West ?

Oh, lovely. The bands of color across the sun really make it. I like the simplicity of the hill silhouettes too. The alternate image you posted is also fascinating, especially the way the sun is nestling into the clouds like they were a nest. Excellent work.

Hi Gary, I was in Chicken and Boundary, and the smoke was terribly thick. As a matter of fact I missed most of the scenery, saw nothing of Wrangell-St. Elias, etc. Very sad to see the boreal forest burned everywhere, I guess it's a fact of life there...

What a beautiful sunset. It almost looks like a painting. The colors are so vibrant and the sun just pulls you in. ooops... almost got lost there. Great photo!!!

Thanks Elisa. That smoke sure does blot out the sun at times. Some days at high noon the sun wasn't any brighter than in this picture... Of course, up in the Yukon, they just let the fires burn unless they are near population. So makes for long smoky summers at times. CHeers, Gary

Hi Ina. Yes, I drove by that fire on the AK/YT border this summer. Was sure smoky there. Glad I wasn't one of those poor border guards. Smoke cleared away by about Chicken, AK!! THanks for the comments. Gary

Awesome sunset, indeed! I was in Alaska, same story this past summer with the forest fires near the Yukon border. Couldn't make it to Yukon :-(

Another awesome sunset Gary. That band of colour on top really does make a difference. I prefer the sun on the other one though so now you'll have to cheat and combine the 2. Hey...always give the audience what they want. Right? ;) (joking) Beautiful. Cheers - Ann :)

Thanks Ann. Ok, how about this one? Same sunset, only a few minutes earlier... Does that band of colour on top make it more balanced? Cheers, Gary

WOW Gary..this is beautiful. I have to try to find something wrong with it just for the sake of being critical ;) ....ummmm....a little too much on top perhaps. Otherwise I can't fault it. Very nice tones and the sun is awesome. I love it. Cheers - Ann :)
