Anna, you are welcome! Your portrait can be like that, but I need a good photo to work from. Up to now I've always worked with photo's that I have made myself, but I may try something new, even a joint project on usefilm... post a good pic and I'll try to make a watercolour and combination of the two. you can reply here or send mail to hmb@dse.nl

Dear Bruce,
the watercolour effect is a real watercolour, made to be photograped and used as a layer in the photo... Huub

Dear Keith,
the image size is 800 high - you may have mistaken the whitish grain as the result of too small a picture? The whitish grain is (I think) the effect of shrinking the picture using a bicubic algorithm, usally used for inflating an image. Not the official way to shrink an image, weighted average seems to do that best, but I rather liked the effect...

Love the image, the way the hand seems to grab your eye and drag you into the picture, the framing by the harp, the lovely soft colours and the well executed watercolour effect, so appropriate to the image.

No Problem Huub
I use photoshop if you go to image-image size in the options change the width or height (what ever is longest) to 800pix the other side should look after its self as long as the scale boxes are ticked This will then change the size of the image keeping its orignal quality. I hope it works it does for me Best of luck

Dear Keith, thank you for your comment... what do you mean by "changing the size of the image and keeping the quality to the max"? Can you comment on that? Do you mean the size of the file, or of the picture?

Not sure what to suggest but only that changing the size of the image and keeping the quality to the max should work ok This is a fantastic work of art The composition and effects work well together 7/7 Well done
