Hi Mireille,
I just found this award winning image in your portfolio. Congratulations! It's a fantastic image. It looks as though a couple of those animals already know you are there. You are brave to get so close to get this photo with such clarity. Well deserved award indeed.
I've been sick so haven't been on the computer much. I will try to catch up with your photos when I get better.
Cheers - Ann :)

A very beautiful place. I like the cropping of the mountains. By not being able to see them it makes the background look like a wall of hills. which it may be. Others may differ. The beasts are very beautiful and the large number of them brings extra interest to this shot.
I might suggest a slightly lower f setting or slower shutter speed, as this shot looks slightly under exposed, as do one or two of your others. This could be corrected in photoshop to some degree by increasing the contrast slightly.
Nice work! You have a good eye.
Mark

Thanks EVERYBODY for your nice comments. I'm very honoured with this award, especially as I'm not that satisfied with my Tanzanian photos and as I joined UF only recently. On the other hand it is a great encouragement to continue doing some adjustments and uploading more of this beautiful country. Regards, Mireille

Congratulations on being on front front page. This is a really great composition. The clarity of colours in the foreground with it's sweeping curve lead the eye so well into the wildebeests, and the lovely layers of colours beyond. Margaret

WOW this is a beaut wildlife shot! Nice colour and great capture of the beasts going about their daily essentials! This shot is worth keeping, but if you can go back and shoot this with less foreground, Beasts are closer and you will get to see the Mountain tops..Well done and congrats Mirille..Im off to look at your folio! :O)Regards

wow, another great shot! I do like the cut off crater edge here, but it could also be nice to see a bit more of it. I like the various strips of colour in the background. Cheers, Gary

Thanks Michael...I may have cropped too much of the mountains...think op your words for the next uploads...you'll see more as I have so many (would need more time for the adjustments in PS). I might return to Tanzania (although I prefer Namibia) with the professional lens (which I haven't got yet) as I'm not satisfied at all with the quality of my photos...Cheers, Mireille

Wow! Amazing shot and great composition, but next time I would get a little lower and try to get more of the mountain. You have a fabulous eye for photography. Your capture of so many animals is amazing. I hope you are able to make many more trips to Tanzania. I would love to see some more. Michael
