About I grow plumeria here in Sunny California. My boyfriend is Hawaiian and we visit once a year so I get more every year I have 25 different plants. This is the last harvest before the plants go dormant for the winter. I usually float the flowers in a large decorative bowl. The wonderful aroma fills my home. . Plumeria loose all their leaves and flowers and just look like a bunch of poles sticking in thier pots. This is my last ode to summer. These plants are very flat and are hard to capture. Any suggestions. I take picture after picture and very few look well.

Superb image, so perfectly captured! The colors and shapes are so beautiful, and the composition is so perfect! Great definition. I love how they fill the frame in an exact pattern! Superb lighting, too.

I think the colors are a bit too dark. I would lighten it up a bit, but it really is an awesome shot.

In Australia we call these Frangipani and they smell oh so delicious. I love the fragrance and I can almost smell these on my screen. This is so refreshing. I remember when I lived in Papua New Guinea we used to put piles of them into sea shells for decoration and also decorate cakes and desserts with them. Heck anywhere that needed colour we'd put these flowers. They are clean and don't drop any fragments, leaves, petals or pollens and they last for ages. Wonderful photography subject. Oh and the plants themselves can make for interesting shapes and abstracts after the season is over too. Have fun with this series. Look foward to seeing more. Cheers - Ann :)

If these shots usually look flat, then you have definitly done something right this time! This one isn't flat AT ALL! The detail is great, and I love the colors! Well done, Kelly!

Beautiful shot Kelly. Have this same species flowering outside the window where I am right now (South African Summer) - call it the 'Fruit Salad' one.
Regards
Shirley
