Wonderfully symbolic, with a very appropriate title. Neatly presented for us, in our present-day comfort. Sad rather than nostalgic, I feel. Well done.

To me it's about the fading away of the great railroads and rural lifestyle.

Very special.

No this rails are old, or was, now they are gone! But they where at the central station....

Lovely colors and the end of an era. It looks it hasn't been used in a while and the rails look a lot narroer than the tracks here. By the way...the movie star i told you about the other day is Gene Tierney.

Beautifulst image, communicates one perfectly sure sadness for the sense of the abandonment of the railroads. Optimal the perspective and the crop.
Thanks for you comment to me, your portfolio is great.

HI Ferran and thanks for your visit in my portfolio! The texture/pattern in my images. I guess you mean my images with a layer. I have one photo of the subject and open up a photo with a interesting surface, structure...what ever and i put it over the first one and change the opacity a little, then i mix the channels! Easy!!!

Those two parallel lines leading
to the unknowns , to the infinity
were always my fondness !!
here is a couple of them lying
peacfully through the grass !!
waiting for the noisy awakener
comming fast from some where
to some where else !!
love the tones a lot !!
very nice work my dear.

Great title, Jeanette, "Disappearing" - both the rails disappearing into the distance (vanishing), and disappearing as a fact of life (not being used anymore, or being removed).
Superb lighting on the rails and the grass growing through the rails. The sunset light is significant, as the "end of the day" or simply the end of these rails. The lines seem to be made of copper, and the warped wood ties add to the wonderful nostalgic mood! Exceptional! Regards, Ina
