hi Gayle, this image is my utter favourite, i love it, can't stop looking at it! its like the 'a is for apple' kids book thing right? its seeped in childhood and memory that your not sure if you remember...but you think you do, know what i mean? there is also the temptation thing with the forbidden apple. do you have a high res of this shot? im currently doing a degree in photography so, yep i do have all my work backed up in a high resolution...i'll have to get it from home though, i can send it tomorrow...well later today for you! is that ok? c

splendid work Gayle...love the mystery here. as Carlos says, this is a psychological photo if one eve existed. makes one think....a sign of a great photo.

Yeah, I DO see the female form now (how did I miss it last night? Must have been on a mind bender....) Forgot to put "LOL" after the straight "A" thing . There were a couple "B's" if I recall................maybe a "C" or 2 - possibly ...........even could have been a sneaky "D" in there somewhere (like in math or something) It's all so hazy now..........

Great! The first letter does have a special mystery to it, and this rendering is beautiful. /Hansi

Female form? Not seeing it. I like - the design. the "A" thing slightly bothers me cause that's all I ever saw on my report cards from Kinder to 12th...brings back all those memories....(about slidding through school while my fellow students were burning the midnight oil and busting their butts big time)

Hi Gayle,
well, you probably don't know how to use the layers tool, but you for sure know how to play around with it! I really love that special color and the subject. nice idea with the burned framing.
best wishes my dear, Thilo

hey! i like your interpretation...mine was varied, but thought of "Eve" because of the apple slice and the "block A" is the "beginning" of the alphabet,or also seen as a childhood memory ;>

When I look at this iamge I feel like I'm looking into an aquarium-like window through to a museum display. I say aquarium because those places sometimes have moisture crusts around the windows and this image seems to give of a moisture like sheen with the frame. Almost like some futuristic display of how things used to be waaay back in the 21st century. I see the figure of the woman as a reflection of the person looking into the window. OK...that's just how I see it anyway.
It's very creative and imaginative Gayle and the frame enhances the feeling that I get when I view this image.
Wonderful imagination you have and you can put it to practical use. Not many people have mastered that technique but you do it so well. Great work.
Thank you also for taking the time to view and comment on my images. Your opinions are greatly appreciated. Cheers - Ann :)

Gayle you are SO creative. I'd like to get inside your mind for about 10 minutes! How in the world do you keep coming up with these ideas? Very interesting. I feel it's multi-faceted and multi layered. :)

With the woman in the background all I can think of is The Scarlet Letter. I think Carlos described it very well and, in fact, his description fits most of your work. They're all complex, mysterious and magical. But enjoyable too.

A nostalgic image and an invitation to look in a dream window, a free ticket enticing the visitor to play in an early early playground? The viewers have carte blanch Gayle?and as a licensed viewer I guess I?m allowed to see what I choose and this can only be seen as a ?psychological? composition - not immediately accessible, full of mystery, and sprinkled with the magic of poetry?
