I used to live on the west coast of Michigan, right there on the lake, and this is quite a familiar sight! I really love the picture, and the black and white at night makes for quite the shot! Well done!

Cold, foggy, eerie nights full of mystery and possibly muggers...not to mention those alien space ships with transporter beams waiting for unsuspecting photographers to beam them up and perform unnatural experiments on them then beam them back to earth with no clear memmory or what's happened to them yet they can't accout for the last few hours of their life. No you won't find me lurking there. (nahh I don't have any imagination do I? - haha)
So that's what images and thoughts this photo bring into my mind....of course with your guided "about" leading my imagination somewhat into a story possiblyt best left untold.
But then I read the title and feel like an idiot because it's just a welcoming lighthouse after all. :) Sorry - got caught up in the mood.
Great shot Cary - I enjoyed my trip. Cheers - Ann :)
