For Wakos? It's funny, Gary, but I find myself often turned off by attempts to create Japanese things outside of Japan... I tend to be more critical than a Japanese might be. I like the red neon glowing in the dark, there, but no Japanese neon "artist" would have rendered the characters for Wako like that... virtually umreadable! But then I don't like "British" pubs in Tokyo. Hmmm. Wonder what that says about me?
Ann, do you have any idea how wonderful it is to come home and find these great messages from you about my photo work? It is amazing that you have kept in touch and watched my new entries. I'm very happy you like my work and by now you have probably noticed that my style is vivid colors. I look for possiblities all of the time. When I find them, I return camera in hand. I do use PS to enhance the colors with saturation. I don't think that's cheating because in my early days in the darkroom, we did what we could with chemicals to produce a print that we liked. I happen to like a lot of color saturation and my Olympus E300 helps. I have my critics who jovially kid me about that, but it's what I like to do and I'm very proud that you like the results. The new stuff I shot today was hardly touched by PS. Thanks again Ann. I remain your friend and am keeping up with your new work. Recent events have kept me busy and off the internet, only to return soon...Gary
Like a work of art with all the elements in this image. The doorway half opened showing the splash of red inside, the shadows on one of the doors and the curves all make for an interesting image. Well seen and shot Gary.
