To tell the truth I wonder how this image did not get any awards! I cannot understand why UF appreciate more abstract-photos than such kind of nature images! Nice point of view and centre of attention with eye-catching colours and an ideal definition! Well captured! 7++ Best regards: Maxime

I really like the curving diagonal line, the DOF sets the subject nicely apart from the background. GOod detail and colours Great composition Margaret

Can't help but think that the focus is sharper on the flower than on the bird, however having tried bird shots and failed miserably, I know how hard it is to get it right in the shot space of time you usually get! Great colours and a charming moment caught.

Thank you for your comment Mark. Yes, the Greater Double-Collared Sunbird often seen drinking the nectar of Aloes with it's loooooong beak. Had a quick look at your portfolio - will go back there - looks wonderful. Regards (p.s. - I love the Spaniel shot :)

I've never seen any animal feed off of or pollinate an aloe. This is the first time, and I like how you composed it.
