Markus, you have captured a very special moment. Of course, the sun light reflecting on Hedi's back is striking in contrast, but also her movement is elegant (you go tell her !) and evocative in the unusual setting.

Another amazing photo, Markus. What mood you captured here - must have been a magic experience. The dash of colour works really well.

Ohh, thanks a lot, Rafi. It's my wife Hedi on the picture. Thank you also for my personal version of the Fern picture, which indeed I like much more. It's simpler, the lines are clearer and therefore much more effective. But I know, that's only my personal view;)
Kind regards, Markus (and thanks also for the funny slide show you sent me)

Welcome back, Markus. You make a very striking comeback (if that is you, but even if not) with the red coat contrasting with the beautiful misty background. Thank you for your very kind cpomments on my "Bougainvillae 1 & 2" (Twelve points to me for hopefully having spelled it right) anf "Fern." I attach the latter as I think you suggested. Best regards, Rafi

Haha, Drilan. I didn't feel like falling into the unknown, but it was a good feeling anyway. It's unbelievable what I missed before my retirement;)

Good appetite, Vanessa. I hope you have a hat with salad and flowers on it, like those we see sometimes the Queen wearing. I can tell you that the only time I appeared on the frontpage was with one of the worst pictures of my portfolio.
Kind regards and thanks for your nice words, Markus

Oh yes, Elisa. It's a good point. When I work with PS, or if I view it in the explorer, there is always a border visible, after the upload it's away. Which is good so. In this case I like how the sky fades away. It increases the uncertain feeling we also sharded on our hike. But I will have a look at such things in the future.
Kind regards, Markus

I think your contrast is better, yes! What I was mainly after was to get a border in the UR corner. As you know, my life is pretty coloured as well ... let?s keep it that way, LOL!

Thanks, Elisa. I'm not really qualified to comment on b/w pictures, cause my life is colored, and I never see things in b/w only. But in this special case I would go for more contrast in a b/w version. Maybe like this one:

Thanks, Steve for your well thought comment. You raise an interesting point here, which I havn't noticed before (I'm not a very good analyst of photographs). The sun came from the left, therefore the strong contrast. The somehow magic light from the right is maybe the glow of the clouds lit by the sun. I didn't do much ajustments with PS, except some cropping.
Regards, Markus

A beautiful, well-composed shot. My only suggestion would be to tone down the contrast on the back of the hiker. There appear to be two sources of light, one at the upper right and one to the upper left shining on the hiker's back. The light at the hiker's back appears so strong, yet it doesn't throw a shadow. You really feel like the hiker is a the edge of an abyss. Well done!
