I am glad to see a spotter plane flying by becasue I just know the lovely lady is going to be swept over into the water. The colours and water smashing up on to the sea wall are perfect. The poor lady though was she ever from again ?

Ina, it's your the most expressive story your ever told. The picture is so great with the strong contrasts and the color accents. It's showing a steep gradient of moods and leads to the lady's unavoidable experience with an angry cold lake waters. Hope the hydroplane gentleman is coming with a hand warmed glass of cognac and a dry warm blankets to rescue her and take back to the Christmas party in Stoney Creek. Hi Daniel, LOL - I didn't add the lighthouse! The light house is there on the pier. I only added the woman and the airplane. It was a stormy day, and the sky, water, pier, lighthouse and waves were all there :)

Hi Linda, You asked me how I get the rich tones: in Photoshop, with just about everything - curves, saturation, brightness/contrast, selective color, replace color, channel mixer... and... I think that's it :) I never touch the levels. Also, I think you can change the Parameter for Canon, to get a more saturated image in camera, but it's not really necessary. I don't use RAW - yet. Hi Ann, sorry I didn't reply sooner - we were out today handfeeding and photographing some chickadees in the park. Very cute and friendly liitle birds!
That vintage photo is my favorite model, she is cast in different roles, this one I thought seemed more like what I see you doing, from your stories, which I enjoy reading very much. Sorry to hear you're with laryngitis :-( Hope you get well soon! Is there any other picture beside mine and Margaret's for you today? I'd like to see it!

Oh Ina... In my ill state I completely missed the relationship beween myself and all the wonderful elements here. I didn't even think to put myself in that woman's situation. How funny and very fitting indeed. The wave does very much look like a champagne explosion. You do realise that under normal (healthy) circumstances my vivid imagination would have picked all this up.
I thank you again for such a well thought out and well worked image. It really is wonderful.
PS...my mum just called me in the US from Australia and we had a lovely one sided conversation as I have laryngitis too now - haha. Oh well at least I can laugh about it and I have so many friends here to make me smile.

WOW Ina....this is amazing. It all looks so very real. It looks like the passing plane caused the big wave which has put the lady off balance and she's about to get very wet. A wonderful background photograph to compliment and set it all in place. One of your best and into my favourites of course. Woow and wooooW! Very creative PS work well peresented moody landscape with a pretty lady from the last century. Looks like it was very really trouble.
