I've been there in a few places, from the Grand Canyon to Flagstaff,Sedona, Phoenix, etc. Very nice climate in winter & spring. My favorite was Lake Powell.

Arizona has a diverse range of wildlife. You could go snow skiing one day and the next day die of thirst in another habitat. We got it all baby!!! Jajaja, Sounds like the tourist advertisement!!!
?Come to ARIZONA and die of thirst!?
Jajajajaj!!

I didn't think AZ would be a heron habitat, I thought they go for swampy areas. I saw many in Florida in the Everglades. It was packed with birds: herons, storks, egrets, cormorants, anhingas, plus many others. They were side by side, on parade, you didn't know which one to shoot first.

Ina, I live about 4 min. from the Salt River here in Arizona. I have found a place where I believe 3 individuals live. The Snowy or white ones seem to have left. Their are also some other one that will not let me get close to them, so next week I'll try camouflage! Jajaja

Great capture, Daniel! It looks like the heron had just gulped a fish! Love the contrasts and the reflection of the legs! Today I took pictures of birds too - on the smaller side - black capped chickadees. They eat from your hand, really cute. But these big birds are so gracious! Where did you shoot these? In Mexico?
