About Just off the Welsh Coast is the beautiful little Island of Anglesea, the home of Beaumaris Castle.

This castle may look to you as if it was sliced in half by some giants butter knife, in fact it was never completley finished ( think they ran out of money... or maybe as it was one of the last to be built by King Edward I he just decided half way through that it was no longer viable).

If you ever get a chance I would highly recomend a visit to this 13th century stronghold... it is very diceptive from the outside... an intricate maze of tunnels run through all the walls.

Beautiful shot. Thanks for introducing me to this one. The tones of the sky are a beautiful counterpoint to the stone structure. Great work . . .

Another of my favourite castles Sue! Love the angle on this one and the way you caught the water around the castle too. Nicely exposed and framed to present the subject well.

Did you see the old Dovecote just down the road as well? Quite interesting...

Hey Art... no filters here... just a little A40.
Had this one for ages without putting it on... did it when I was experimenting with frames & was not so keen on the frame myself... was just talking about this castle to Keith on here so thought I would stick it on anyway (mind, could have cut the frame out I suppose... lol)

Thanks for comment Art... & bless.. that's my fav hat that is d)xx

I like this one Sue, very well composed and exposed.
Never been there myself, I've been to that place with the impossibly long name just across the bridge from Bangor, one of these days!!.......
