An amazing performance in this artwork. Square frame is interesting as well. Excellent, Ralf!

At this point, I'm trying to decide whether to save $1000 for a 20D, or go 3x as long and save the $3000 for a 5D. Ovbiously the 5D would be the ideal choice...full frame, 12MP...but it's quite an investment!! I've used a collegues 1Ds Mark II, and it was great...but that is waaayyy over-budget for me. By the way I noticed in your bio pic you seem to be on a sailboat, have a look through my Sailing portfolio...I think you'll enjoy it,
Chris

Thanks Ralk, I haven't had alot of luck with exposures over 1.5 minutes. Just too much noise with the 300D. I hve tried them as long as 3-4 minutes, but like I said - the heat from the sensor just created too much noise. The 5D doesn't seem to have this problem however :)

Thanks for ypur comment Chris. Actually it was more then 1 minute! I used my maglite to give the catamaran more light. It was really dark! Many greetings..Ralf

Interesting photo, the angle of the catamaran makes a nice diagonal. Nice and sharp given the 1 minute exposure. The lighting seems almost too perfect - did you have your car's headlights or any artificial lighting on it? The sky also looks good, with the sublte coloring,
Chris
