Andrzej,
We have owned a cottage here since 1962! I recognize the exact spot where this one was taken. I have fished here for over 40 years :) Our cottage is near the dam. I have taken the cell phone tower out of all my new shots :) I just don't like to see it afte all these years of not being there.
When I was a kid, my parents used to take us to Kaszuby for the outdoor mass. I couldn't wait to get back to the cottage and get back in my shorts.

the place here is really not far from Palmer Rapids and it's sitting too on the banks of Madawaska at its inlet to Kamiskasig Lake down from Canoe Center. The cottage is our friends, I'm too busy now to maintain our own cottage, so we rather hooping from place to place renting or visiting friends in various places north or east of TO. We like Kaszuby and we were there a couple times in different places. In my first comment to you a couple days ago after I scanned briefly through your portfolios I have mentioned "A kind of similar spirit and a kind of similar places..." and this referred to your cottage pictures and oldies, and berries, and many other I found commonality in. The only surprise - the nice one - was to learn that you are Polish too. Now I see a sens of my initial feel I have expressed in the comments.

Hi again Andrzej,
Now this is getting spooky!
Our cottage is on the Madawaska River near Palmer Rapids. This is only a few kilometers from Barry's Bay, as you probably know. If you check my "At The Cottage" portfolio, you might even recognize the area in some of the shots.

Thanks, Brendan yes you have a good point, those speckles are distructive and I'll fade them out in my original full size copy. Cheers.

Excellent again Andrzej!! I too love the misty morning photos. Great reflection and mood.
Just one little thing, and that is, i personally think you should clone out the speckles bottom left....the eye keeps getting drawn to them, bit distracting. Apart from that.... excellent work

Very nice gradations from brown to blue, and cloud reflections in the water. The low clouds in the distance add an air of mystery to the peaceful scene. I can hear the loon's call in the early hours!
