About: My first formal training in photography was in the US Army in the early 1960s. During those days I was a Photo Lab Technician. Since the late 1960s, I have been an avid amateur photographer and sometimes pro. In the army I used a 4X5 speed graphic and a few years with an unrecalled aerial camera, doing aerial photography for the army. Like most everyone, I have worked my way through many cameras, from film to digital. Olympus to Nikon and on to my current shooter of choice, a Canon Rebel xs.
