About: I was born a long time ago in Philadelphia, PA and now live in suburban Philadelphia with Snuffles, my cat. Although I've been interested in photography for some time, I became very active when I got my first digital camera in 2003. The lure of an endless roll of film, no processing costs, and a digital darkroom is very enticing.
I enjoy photographing patterns and capturing interesting images that we usually fail to see in our immediate surroundings or images that are lost in the background visual noise until they are embraced by a photographic frame. Sometimes I like to look at the world from an unusual perspective. I am not a photographer of "pretty pictures". Most of my work is abstract or semi-abstract images that present the relationship of line, shape, texture, and color with little regard for the representational image. Some of my work is gritty and some is minimalist.
