Hi Guys,
Amy is at her dads, so she hasn't been able to view her standings from the second fair she entered--the 4H one. She entered this, St. Louis sky, pond life, and Super Seth. She got blue ribbons on all of them, but would you believe it, the opposite ones from last week at the county fair won best of show. Muddy feet won for b & W, and St. Louis sky won for color. They will be going to state next month, but I don't believe they award ribbons in the 4H building. I checked into the regular photography division, but they don't accept until you're sixteen for state competition. Amy was bummed on that one. Thanks to all of you for commenting on and encouraging Amy. Of course the more you encourage her the more you cost me in equipment!! Just kidding. She loves this site and would watch it all day if school work didn't get in the way! Sincerely from Amy's mom, Tonya

Thanks everyone,
I'm putting 4 more pictures into a different contest this next week. I'll let you all know how it comes out. Russ, it's in H'ville, maybe you can come see it--4H fair, North Park.

Thanks,
I had to crop the picture and blow it up because the lenses I have don't go very close. But I did win first place with it in county fair! I'm going to enter it into 4-H next week.

Russ,
Mom told me about your picture, and it is the same statue I took, only totally different. Here is a version with a sunburst I made in paint shop. Do you like the sunburst version or the regular one?

HELP!!!! I need to enter 4 photos into my 4H fair. Please look at my portfolio to help me decide. I cannot enter 'Uncle Dennis', 'Pretty in Purple', or 'Secluded' because I entered them last year.(The ones of me that my mom took can't be entered of course, too) Everyone's favorite photo is 'Contemplating...Life', but I am not sure if I should enter it because I cant put comments with the picture, and the comments on that picture helps explain the photo. So, please help me decide on your favorites! I really need your comments, Thanks. Amy

My aunt was looking at my portfolio, and thought I should upload this picture uncropped to get your comments. She thought it told the story of the picture better. What do you think?

Thanks Steve,
I'm glad I'm back, too! Do you think the background is too distracting in this?

Kim,
I always love pictures of dogs! I wanted to thank you for your comment and coloring a LONG time ago for the frog picture. It has been that long since I have been on the net, I had to finish up my homeschool year. I think what you did looks neat, my mom and I are going to try to work on it. We have Paint Shop, maybe it will work, Thanks again,
Amy

I like the cropped version better than this one, because this one leads your eye out of the bottom of the picture.

Oops, never had that problem before. I will try to delete them. I think it must be because I film scanned. We have never tried to upload one from film before, and on the computer it came out the same size!
